Prescription types

Simple, controlled compounded and special control prescriptions — when to use each one and what each type requires.

When you tap New prescription and choose the patient, you select the prescription type. The type is set at this initial step and stays fixed on the editing screen — to use another type, start a new prescription. For controlled types, the app validates the required data before moving on and lets you fill in anything missing on the spot.

Simple prescription

The everyday template, for medications without special control. No extra requirements beyond your CRMV.

Controlled compounded prescription (3 copies)

For compounded medications subject to control. The system shows the 3-copy template with 30-day validity and, upon signing, automatically assigns the sequential numbering (MAPA number + sequential + year).

Requires:

  • Your MAPA registration number (SIPEAGRO) — register it in Settings → Profile, in the "MAPA registration number" field. It is the veterinarian's registration number in the MAPA system; obtain it on MAPA's veterinarian registration page.
  • The guardian's address — if missing, the app asks you to fill it in before moving on.

Special control prescription (2 copies)

For medications subject to special control (Brazilian Ordinance SVS/MS No. 344/98 — e.g. lists C1 and C5). The system generates the white template in 2 copies (1st copy — pharmacy retention; 2nd copy — patient guidance), with 30-day validity.

Requires:

  • The guardian's CPF — if missing, the app asks you to fill it in before moving on.
  • No MAPA number or sequential numbering needed.

Electronic issuance integrated with ANVISA's SNCR is not available yet; the signed prescription is valid in printed-and-signed form.

Next step: signing

Any type can be digitally signed with an ICP-Brasil certificate (Pro plan) — see the digital signature article.
