Consultation templates

Customize the context and the clinical-record structure the AI generates, and pick the right template when recording.

A consultation template defines how the AI shapes a recording's output: the context it considers and how the clinical record is structured. This adapts the app to the way you work (general practice, dermatology, follow-up…) without losing the automatic documentation.

What a template contains

  • Initial context (optional): a short instruction with the specialty or type of consultation (e.g. "Dermatology follow-up consultation"). It helps the AI focus on what matters.
  • Clinical-record structure: the record's sections, built in a simple editor — no Markdown needed. You add sections (e.g. "Reason for visit", "Assessment"), give each a title and describe what it should contain, and can reorder or remove them. The AI fills each section from the transcript and the consultation data.

The summary (the quick-glance card) always keeps the same format — a template only shapes the clinical record. Patient identification is always included automatically, even if you don't add it to the template.

Picking the template when recording

On the Record screen, just below the record button, tap "Template: …" to choose. The last template you picked stays selected for the next consultation, so you usually only adjust it when the type of visit changes.

Setting a default template

If you almost always use the same template, pin it as the default in Settings → Consultation templates: tap "Set as default" on the template you want (a "Default" badge appears on it). From then on, that template comes pre-selected for every new recording — and unlike "last used", it doesn't change if you switch templates for a one-off recording: that switch applies to that consultation only, and the next one goes back to the default. To undo, tap "Remove default".

Creating and editing templates

Open Settings → Consultation templates (also in the More menu). There you'll find:

  • Your templates: come pre-filled with ready-made examples — General consultation, Dermatology and Follow-up — which you can edit or delete freely, alongside any you create.
  • Default (SOAP): the only protected one. It can't be edited or deleted, but it can be cloned to create your own version.

Tap New template to start from scratch, or Clone on the default to open an editable copy. Each field has a character counter to keep the template concise.

Switch template and reprocess

If a template didn't produce the result you expected, open the consultation: on the summary, the "Template: …" badge shows which template was used. Tap it to switch the template and reprocess — the AI regenerates the summary and clinical record with the chosen template. Consultations already generated with another template are not affected.

Tips

  • Short, focused templates work best: create only the sections you actually use.
  • To reproduce a form (e.g. clinical parameters), paste the block into the "what this section should contain" field and the AI fills in the values mentioned, leaving blank what wasn't.
  • Edits to a template apply to future recordings; older consultations keep the template that generated them until you reprocess them.
